Format switch, league updates, new recruit & match news

So h0ly's computer kicked the proverbial bucket, leaving zerg rushes and nukes as his only outlet for his gaming fix. Thankfully he has waved his magic webmaster phallus and granted me access to update the ]MP[ site.]MP[ have switched to an exclusively 6v6 format for our TF2 division for various reasons (attendance, futility of practicing multiple maps in multiple formats with multiple strats each week), dropping STA 8v8 and picking up TGL 6v6.
We played our last STA 8v8 match vs. Djedi on gravelpit and lost 4-0. Well played Djedi, its too bad we couldn't have given you a better game, but it was great to play another old school qwtf clan.
We started CEVO with a pre-season match on cp_well against Revelation 6, a fellow old school qwtf clan (shoutout to Stingray). I believe the score was 4-1 in favor of REV6. It was an intense match. GG REV6.
That brings us to this week, where we played our first real matches for CEVO and TGL. Both leagues were running ctf_2forts for the map and we scrimmed tireless, props to all of the clans we scrimmed; Shogun, Sorry Ass Clan and many others. We were all disappointed to take a forfeit win from oxyMORONS for our TGL match after spending so much time preparing.
Last night, however, we played our CEVO match against the Night Kids. Round 1 started off with a bang, both clans capping the flag early on for an even score of 1-1. After the initial rushes, ]MP['s offense kicked into high gear, preventing Night from making much progress into the ]MP[ base and bringing home 4 more caps for an end score of 5-1. MVP goes to Virulent for his beastly fragging skeelz.
Round 2, Night Kids switched up their strategy a little bringing out their secret weapon, a sniper, who managed to take out the ]MP[ soldiers in the opening moments of the match. Combined with their demoman piping the bridge, this was starting to give ]MP[ some trouble. We quickly adjusted our strategy, with bax switching to sniper and effectively neutralizing the enemy sniper. After that, the ]MP[ offense moved forward into the enemy base and brought home 3 caps, but not without Night bringing home a cap of their own for an ending score or 3-1. MVP goes to bax, who finally got to dust off his sniper rifle and dole out some head shots.
Final Score: 8-2, ]MP[ over Night
In other news, welcome Hazeem to ]MPr[ status. Hazeem brings an impressive resume, including playing for the Team Fortress All Stars (All*), a top qwtf clan.
